Personal Description:

I have learnt French since the age of 5 and speak it fluently. I went on to get a degree in Modern Languages (French and Italian) from the University of Exeter. There I studied for four years including spending six months working for a French hotel company in Bordeaux. I spent three consecutive summers in Biarritz (in the south of France) where I attended a language school and lived with a French family.

Since university, I have developed a career using French, working in Paris for two different companies. I now work in international business, using my language skills in a professional environment for the international team of a consultancy.

Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced tutor working with both adults and children. This means I can help you whether you are a beginner or highly proficient.

I can create great learning structures in terms of grammar, vocabulary and topics to keep learning fun and interesting. For more advanced learners, I would be pleased to explore business, legal or other levels of the language in order to suit your needs.

Teaching Approach:

My approach is organic and easy going.

I would like to teach you a very practical French, with more emphasis on everyday use.

I will create a structure that reflects typical teaching strategies.

I would also be flexible in terms of subject matter - depending on how you wish to use a language, our learning pathway may change.

If you wish to go to GCSE standard/ A-Level and take some exams, I am more than happy to take you there!
