Personal Description:

I am a postgrad student in applied linguistics and a language teacher with a TEFL certificate and four years of online tutoring experience. I teach EFL (English as a foreign language) and pronunciation (Standard Southern British (or Modern RP)) to adults.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching online since 2018.

English as a Foreign Language:
- have taught over 50 students at levels A2-C1
- have experience with IELTS preparation
- worked as a pronunciation coach on an online course
- created several curricula from scratch to suit learners' needs

My students become confident in reading and listening to authentic materials and talking to native speakers in a matter of months.

Teaching Approach:

My lesson planning is based on communicative and lexical approaches to teaching foreign languages, and I pay particular attention to pronunciation and fluency. You can look forward to learning functional language and idiomatic expressions that will make you sound more natural. There will be authentic audio, video and reading materials, and a lot of speaking practice all based on your needs and interests.

A language learner myself, I appreciate the difficulties you may encounter on your way to your language goal. To make your journey smoother, we will use a selection of effective language learning techniques and technological tools.

I have taught via Zoom, Skype and even WhatsApp with my students using their computers, tablets or smartphones. I do prefer Zoom, and of course, a computer will offer you more functionality.

Over the four years of tutoring online I have learned various ways of delivering lessons. With the help of a whiteboard and an online language teaching platform, I create engaging and interactive sessions.
