Personal Description:

I am an ESOL teacher with BA degree in English and Turkish Language and 10 years of teaching experience. I have a group and individual Turkish learners whose native languages are English. I am currently working in secondary school supporting pupils in their literacy and numeracy in GCSE as well as teach English and Turkish as a second language.I am fluent in English and Turkish in an academic level.I have years of experience in teaching English and Turkish as a second language , maths and English as well. Teaching is my passion and to me it is the most rewarding job.

Teaching Experience:

Turkish GCSE and above, daily conversation skills;Beginners, Intermediate and advanced.
Professional Interpreter, Diploma in Public Service Interpreting-British Law (DPSI)
GCSE Maths and English support
SATs Maths and English support
Synthetic phonics trained and can deliver it using sounds-write programme.
Special Education support using sign (Macaton) language and Picture Exchange Communication System(PECS)

Teaching Approach:

I teach Turkish language as a foreign language. I have an excellent grammar knowledge both in Turkish and English which helps the learners to have a clear vision of comparing both language structures and understand the basic rules of Turkish grammar. I make my own resources and displays to make my teaching as visual and kinaesthetic as possible.
For school going learners;learning in a school environment help improve pupils' social , physical and emotional skills and they have role models around them to improve their learning in any area that they are expected. However teaching might be very challenging when behaviour issues cause distraction and eat up the learning time. Therefore I think private tuition is the best way of using a pupil's learning time most productively; possibly do a day's learning at school in 1 or 2 hours of tuition.
