Information About Myriam - Glasgow teacher

Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Myriam, I'm a dual-national, Franco-Brit, avid learner of languages myself! I'm always really excited to teach others about the beauty and charm of the French language.

Teaching Experience:

On my year abroad in Russia, I taught many students both French and English language, one-to-one or in classes. Throughout my years at university, I also very often lent a helping hand to French language students when it came to preparing for exams, explaining a grammar point, practicing speaking skills… I have worked with pupils with all sorts of ages and experience: children, teenagers, students, professionals, retired people, beginners, intermediate or advanced.

Teaching Approach:

From my personal experience studying languages, I have found that the best way to start is to approach any new language like children do when learning their own language. I try to replicate that as closely as possible in my lessons, focusing on getting comfortable with the language first, and building gradually, using grammar as a means to deepen knowledge as opposed to a scary starting point.
