Personal Description:
I am a qualified and experienced teacher of French, Spanish and German. I have been a private tutor for over twenty years and have helped many students to realize their potential at GCSE.
Teaching Experience:
I attained Qualified Teacher Status in 1991 and have worked in a variety of primary and secondary schools across the north-east including as a second in department and head of MFL. I am currently a supply teacher and am teaching Spanish and German.
Teaching Approach:
The student is at the heart of what I do-I seek to tailor the work to what they most need in terms of grammar, communication, listening, reading and writing. I always have work ready, but if there is a concern on the part of the student I'm happy to address that first-for example if they haven't understood some part of a recent lesson in school. Flexibility, friendliness and encouragement are key.
