Information About Megan - Peckham teacher

Personal Description:

I'm an 18 year old student at King's College London studying French and Hispanic Studies. I've always been interested in languages and the idea of being able to travel and communicate with others. I'm available to teach both French and Spanish up to A Level. I'm interested in becoming a teacher as my teachers and lecturers at school and college were inspiring individuals trying to increase the interest in languages amongst the students, which is all too often something that people miss out on.

Teaching Experience:

No official teaching experience, but I did however do a period of work experience in a primary school. It was a good opportunity to learn about how young children learn and communicate with others. It definitely increased my interest in the option of teaching as a career.

Teaching Approach:

I'm not an overly strict teacher, as I prefer to explain the subject being discussed rather than set harsh rules. However, tests are very helpful to aid learning and it would be a very important part of my teaching that the pupil take part in tests and take their results seriously. Also, a lot can be achieved through talking so my lessons would not always be about sitting in silence and writing.
