Personal Description:
I can help significantly improve your performance in French, Spanish and Italian at all levels within a 1 hour commute time from Mill Hill, London NW7 or online. I tutor languages both academically and for the fun of learning a new language.
My lessons bundles are as follows:
10% reduction for 3 lessons
15% reduction for 6 lessons
20% reduction for 10 lessons
Please note I need at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation or the full fee paid.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring for over 22 years helping the pupil to understand the language and its structures much better.
Teaching Approach:
I teach the verbs and tenses as well as good vocabulary and expressions, because without a verb you cannot have a sentence, then one is extremely limited in what they can say. I also give great tips for Writing and Speaking.
Don't worry, it is all very logical and even for those irregular verbs I have discovered a lot of patterns that many others do not teach.

From Rosmimi (/5): Matthew is a very kind and helpful tutor, who helped my son though his Maths A Level when he was extremely behind, even on such short notice before exams. In the end my son managed to get his firm choice of university to study Biomedical Science! Matthew structures his lessons very well, and always makes sure to set homework for my son to consolidate his learning. He teaches concepts step by step and makes sure my son didn’t continue until he understood the topic. He is an excellent tutor and I strongly recommend him

From Priscille (/5): Matthew had one lesson with my daughter who is currently taking her French A level. Matthew has good technical grammar but our preference was for a fluent French speaker as my daughter has french as her mother tongue.

From Julie (/5): I only had one italian lesson with Matthew and he was absolutely straight from the outset in confirming that he is not fluent in the language. As I wanted to improve my grammar, I went ahead anyway and actually quite enjoyed the lesson. Matthew came quite prepared and asked a lot of questions to ascertain my level. He is easy to chat with but my reason for only 4 stars is that I had hoped for just a little fluency and italian conversation (despite being forewarned) alongside the verb testing. I am sad as I believe Matthew is an excellent teacher and would have helped me greatly had I been a student of french or spanish. Sadly, he is not the correct choice for me with italian.

He quickly assessed my sons needs for upcoming exams and identified and addressed the specific areas where he was struggling and created learning plan which has helped him considerably in both subjects. He is also very organised, setting questions to be completed before the next visit and tackling all the key learning points. Throughout, he gave constructive feedback on how the tutoring was progressing and what my son needed to do. From Fatmir (/5): Quite an excellent tutor , extremely knowledgeable and will get you to a higher than average understanding of any topic , before the year I was predicated at a grade 4 for Spanish and after a couple months I got a grade 6 , he’ll push you to do better than most of your peers so you really stand out
