Personal Description:
I am a 50yr old lady teacher currently practising in Southampton school. I am teaching English in KS3 and KS4 and German GCSE. I enjoy playing the violin in a local orchestra and walking my dog in the countryside near where I live. As an English teacher I am obviously an avid reader, a hobby I like to pass on to pupils in my care!
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for 19years. I was trained as a MFL teacher and taught French and German. 12 years ago I was offered some English teaching (my degree was in English and German) and I now teach English full time. I have a good track record of success at GCSE in French, German, English and English Literature.
Teaching Approach:
I have tutored young people and adults in the past and have always found it better to follow the tutee's needs and requirements. I would be happy to help with class and homework tasks, but would also be quite willing to provide new resources/workbooks, if these were needed.

Mary and is benefiting from lessons.
Mary is very flexible and makes Alexandra very welcome.
Our daughter has never enjoyed English and although we are not at that stage yet, she's never moaned about having to attend a tutoring session. Which trust me is very good sign!
Thank you for your help Mary
