Personal Description:

Research scientist (19 years experience).
Have been working in the UK since 1998.
Experience in the academic sector, working in laboratories and writing publications in English

Teaching Experience:

Tutored in French (one year) and in English while in France (one year) to A-level students.
Provide tuition in Mathematics and Chemistry.
Knowledge gained in academia (PhD level) and presented research at international meetings to wide audiences and also, poster sessions.

Teaching Approach:

Language tuition: I put emphasis on getting the student to build correct sentences so that understanding becomes easier.
I provide exercises on which to work during tuition and encourage student to repeat sentence with the right syntax. Focus on grammar and exercises to increase the use of vocabulary, starting with simple sentences.

Chemistry/Maths: through exercises and coaching to find the solution to problems adapted to the course work the student is following at school and adding more relevant exercises to help assimilate the coursework
