Information About Mario - Birmingham teacher

Personal Description:

Mario is a Spanish native teacher who has lived and studied in Spain for 21 years. Mario has always been interested in learning languages and helping others fall in love with the learning of Spanish. While he was a student, he has participated in several language exchanges with students from different countries, including: Ireland, England and America; these experiences awaken his passion for languages and helped him become a more open-minded individual. In 2017, Mario moved to The UK to work and study, and since 2020 he has been teaching Spanish in secondary schools.

Teaching Experience:

My teaching experience is in UK state secondary schools. I can offer Spanish for beginners through to A Level (KS5). I can offer students help focusing on the key skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening as well as preparing for examinations, using a variety of resources.

Teaching Approach:

My lessons follow a student-centred approach as I like students to be actively engaged in the lesson so that they make the most of the lesson time. When possible, I try to use target language (Spanish) during the lesson so that students develop their listening skills while encouraging them to use the target language.
