Personal Description:

I am highly experienced Native French Teacher from Nîmes in the South of France.
I have been living in England and teaching for a few years.
I have also taught in USA, Ireland and Scotland.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in different schools: primary, secondary and high school. I have prepared many students for their GCSE and A Levels.

I also teach French for job purpose (interviews and presentations), and if you need to relocate or to travel. From beginners to advanced levels.

Teaching Approach:

I am very enthusiastic, patient and resourceful.

I focus on excellence when my students prepare an exam. I have a positive record in achieving good to outstanding results in GCSE and A Level. This year 95 % of my GCSE students got an A (9) and 95% of my AS/A Level students got an A*.

When I teach for work purposes or leisure I always adapt my lessons according to your specific needs. I will use a wide range of tools to help you practice French. I will focus on oral practice using role plays, songs and real life situations.

I only teach online, either on Zoom or Skype. Let me know what is best for you !

From Ira (5/5): Marie is teaching both my son for his GCSE and me in my aim to improve my knowledge of French. She is very engaging and positive and makes learning experience interesting. Marie uses variety of teaching resources to make lessons interesting and really listens to adapt her teaching to our needs. Both my son and I really enjoy our lessons with Marie and I certainly look forward to working with her to attain advanced fluency in French.

Reply from: Marie: Both Ira and her son are great students. We are very focused during our lessons and use different kind of resources. I make sure we all enjoy the lessons and learn as much as possible.
Ira and her sons have different goals and it is really interesting to adapt to their needs. Ira's son is getting more and more confident about his exam and I can see he feels more and more at ease speaking and writing in French. Ira is also progressing and we have longer and longer conversations each time.
