Retired native french speaker living in Brampton, Huntingdon
I have lived in the UK since 2012 and enjoy very much teaching my language to children and adults alike
Teaching Experience:
Experienced in teaching toddlers, children and adults, adapting the lessons to the pupils wishes and needs
Teaching Approach:
With toddlers and young children it is play and learn with games and a lot of audio-visual material in books and with a tablet . they know how to use it and it creates a comfort zone where they can focus on the language
the primary purpose of language is communication and I think grammar is important but pupils learn better through interacting and engaging. i put a lot of emphasis on realistic situations. the pupils read a story of their choice allowing them to learn more vocabulary and improve their grammar knowledge in a pleasant way. If they are interested, I also teach them French geography or/and history
