Personal Description:
I am a graduate in Modern Languages and a native speaker of German with a first class MA in French. I have spent most of my adult life teaching in the UK. I have, in the past 10 years, also produced many translations. I have also written and edited a number of MFL textbooks for a variety of publishers
Teaching Experience:
I have taught for several decades in British comprehensive schools and organised many school trips. In 2007, I was chosen to be German teacher of the year by the Goethe Institut and the German Embassy. As well as in schools, I have also taught adults in evening classes
Teaching Approach:
I tailor my lesson to the student's needs and wishes, depending on whether they want to develop their fluency, their accuracy or prepare for an exam. I place a great deal of emphasis on vocab learning and also provide a grammatical underpinning to what is being studied.
