Personal Description:

Hello, I'm Elena, a native Italian living in Cornwall and I'd like to help you to learn to speak Italian with confidence.

I have years of experience in providing Italian lessons to foreign students and high quality translations. I have a strong professional and academic background: I studied languages (Italian, English, French, Latin) and hold a university degree in environmental sciences.

Teaching Experience:

I started teaching Italian to Italian and foreign students more than twenty years ago both one-to-one and in groups. Over the years I have also taught English in Italy to mixed aged students and run a school to teach English to small children. I am also an English to Italian translator and I run a small translations company with my British husband.

Teaching Approach:

My objective is to teach Italian to foreign students in a fun and enjoyable way. Some boring grammar is necessary, but hopefully it won't be too painful! Your lessons will be planned especially for you depending on your needs.

My teaching approach is very practical and pragmatic, teaching rules that can be immediately understood and used. I put the students’ objectives first, remembering their primary need: communication! Having as much fun as possible makes learning easier.

You just need an internet connection and your favourite device: we can do lessons via Skype, WhatsApp, phone… you name it!
