Personal Description:
A maturer lady, mum of a daughter currently studying medicine at Glasgow University where I too did my degree in French and German. Although I didn't go into teaching as a profession but have always worked in various businesses, I thoroughly enjoy tutoring both adults and children. Having taken voluntary redundancy this year from my job of 26 years, I look forward to concentrating on tutoring.
Teaching Experience:
Many years' experience in tutoring both French and German at all levels, both children and adults. I have also been tutoring a blind girl for 6 years now.
For several years I ran after-school French Clubs for groups of young children - 'fun French' using songs and games.
One adult couple, who bought a property in remote area of France, thus necessitating learning French, come to my house once a week when we study using a very good course AND a bottle of wine (French, of course!) which definitely promotes conversation!
Teaching Approach:
Enthusiasm, thoroughness, patience and a good sense of humour would sum up my approach.

I have no deadline, exam or time frame in my head as to when I would like to achieve my overall goal of becoming fluent in German which has helped to alleviate any pressure that there may have been. However the atmosphere that is created in the lesson would dispel any feelings of pressure as it is now the perfect end to my Wednesdays and a great way to de-stress from my 9-5.
