Information About Lola - Nottingham teacher

Personal Description:

I am 27 years old Spanish girl. I am double degree engineer with a master in economics for natural resources from Cranfield University.

I have been in England for 3 years and since 2016 I am in Nottingham doing a PhD in the University of Nottingham.

I am fluent in French, English and Spanish.

I learnt French at a bilingua school to which I went for 10 years. When I finished school, I started working for French companies, and it is what I have been doing doing until 2016 when I started my PhD.

I am fluent in English due to the fact that I studied and have been woking in UK for three years now. Currently I am doing a PhD at the University of Nottingham.

Spanish is my mother tongue.

Teaching Experience:

I have a vast experience in the field of education.

I have been teaching as a private tutor for 8 years, giving classes of Spanish language for all levels. When I was in Spain I had foreign students, so I have experience teaching people willing to learn a second language.

During these 8 years I have given maths, physics and chemistry lessons to primary and secondary school pupils. Also French lessons I am bilingual in French. I studied French for 10 years in a bilingual French School in Madrid (Saint Louis des Francais).

I have experience of 2 years giving classes as a secondary school teacher of sciences and Spanish language.

During summer time, for the last 5 years I have been working as a leisure time instructor, in Wales and France, with children from 7 to 18 years old.
I first like to evaluate the student, the level and confidence she/he has within the different areas of the subject.

I have been a Spanish, French and English private teacher for many years. Along these years, some of my pupils have been with me for several years. Some of the pupils like to keep continuity in their classes so at summer time, or weekends when I have been abroad the way to keep the classes has been through online classes, or phone calls, as required.

In Spain I use to teach face to face, now, since I am in UK, I still keep some of my pupils from Spain and we continue having the lessons weekly and via Skype.

They are happy and progressing.

Teaching Approach:

I adapt the teaching approach to each of my learners. As a lover of languages and learner of French and English (now I am fluent in both languages) I consider that I know how to teach a language and how to make my pupils to enjoy from learning it. Depending on the person level, the approach to teaching change a little bit; we might need to focus more on grammar, or vocabulary; maybe just speaking or writing; or maybe a mix of them all. My pupil and I are a team and we work together to learn and improve the language in a enjoyable and effieicnt way.
