My name is Lisa and I'm 25 years old. I am a qualified high school French teacher and have an up-to-date PVG. I am available to tutor from 4.30 on Monday and Tuesday evenings and from 4pm on Wednesday-Friday.
I qualified with a MA (Hons) degree in 2014 and graduated in 2016 with a PGDE in Secondary French Education, both from the University of Glasgow. I am qualified to teach French to high school pupils at any stage, although my experience is mainly with pupils in S1-S3 and National 4/5 pupils. I also have experience tutoring Higher pupils during exam preparation.
I adapt a flexible approach to teaching to suit individual needs. I believe in learning languages through meaningful scenarios and teach the necessary vocabulary and grammar to promote fluency and confidence when using the target language. In order to motivate students, I can differentiate my materials to suit their level of language learning. I strive to be as engaging and motivating as possible to push students to reach their full potential and also encourage pupils to immerse themselves in the language by listening to French music or watching video clips.
