Information About Lidia - Stanmore teacher

Personal Description:

I've been teaching for several years, helping students succeed in their GCSE and A-level exams in French and Business / Economics. Currently, I teach at one of the top colleges in London, where my students consistently achieve a 98% exam success rate. It's incredibly rewarding to see them grow in confidence and reach their potential!

French language: I specialise in teaching grammar, writing, speaking, and analysing fiction and nonfiction, in preparation for GCSEs and A-levels.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified teacher with a Qualified Teacher Status and Master’s in Teaching Methodology.
I also have a Master’s Degree in French Linguistics and an Alliance Française Diploma. In addition, I was a finalist in a national competition in French.

I started tutoring 15 years ago, and I became a career teacher 5 years ago. I love seeing students progression and how they grow their confidence. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing students’ progress—not just academically, but in their self-belief and independence. Seeing their confidence grow as they overcome challenges, grasp new concepts, and realise their potential is what makes teaching truly fulfilling. Every lesson is an opportunity to inspire, support, and empower the next generation.

Teaching Approach:

My teaching style is about building confidence of the learner and positive attitude towards leaning. I focus on building up the sills and knowledge, increasing the independence. This creates an environment where the learner can see and assess their own development. They start believing in themselves and this sense of achievement helps them to progress further. If the tasks is difficult, I break it down and I apply a “precision teaching” which encourages the understanding.
My students love the clarity of my teaching and that I “take them with me” through the learning, so they are never lost. I teach them at their speed, ensuring their understanding and progress are made at each step. My students love the visual aids and interactive exercises, which allow them to grasp the concepts quickly and remember them later. My students love the fact that they know they are very well prepared for their exams.
