Personal Description:

I am a Qualified Teacher and hold a Bachelor degree in Philosophy and Education. Ever since I graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, I have been deeply passionate about education and my aim is to help people of all levels and abilities gain confidence when communicating in Greek. I patiently offer encouragement and motivation through individually tailored courses to suit different goals, interests and learning styles.

Teaching Experience:

Being a teacher has been my childhood dream, and being able to help my students achieve their learning goals while having an impact on their life choices has been a fulfilling and rewarding journey for me. I have a long teaching experience and along my career I have prepared students for their language certification exams, worked with students who were expanding their businesses to Greece, taught children of Greek immigrants and also helped students who decided to relocate to Greece.

Teaching Approach:

I offer my lessons via Skype using a wide range of language teaching methodologies and techniques with focus on speaking, listening comprehension and reading skills. I implement PowerPoint presentations in my online courses to support the visualisation of my lesson plans and create an engaging learning experience.
I use carefully selected textbooks with modern layout, a variety of personalised vocabulary and listening exercises that support the process of building up a rich vocabulary along with pronunciation activities. I always make it a priority to create opportunities for oral practice, helping my students become confident in communicating in Greek.
I have studied English from a young age and have a degree of Proficiency in English from Cambridge University. My proficient knowledge of the English language and deep understanding of the grammar and syntax structures have become a very effective tool in my courses, allowing me to create useful associations between the two languages.
