Information About Laurent - Poole teacher

Personal Description:

I am a French national who has been living and working in the UK on and off since 1994 and permanently since 2001.

I have spent all of my working life in various industry sectors (plate glass processing, power generation, electronics… ) mainly in Customer Support, dealing with UK and International customers on a daily basis on the phone, by email and devising and translating technical documents and procedures. So communicating in English and/or in French is no concern to me whether in person or in writing.

In 2012 I decided to share my knowledge of the French language and my communication skills mainly through teaching, and started my own company to offer French and English tuition and translation services.

Teaching Experience:

I have only been tutoring since early 2012, but am preparing a DAEFLE (equivalent to TEFL for French tutors) in parallel to teaching.

Teaching Approach:

I favour one-to-one or small group home tuition to concentrate on the tutees needs. I use interactive material, games, and sole use of the French language as much as possible. I will adapt to the tutee's requirement but tend to use proven methods like Hachette's Taxi series when a structured course is required.
