Information About Katarina - Lambeth teacher

Personal Description:

My mother tongue is Slovak and I am fluent in German, English and Czech. I have graduated in Translation and Interpreting in these languages at the University of Vienna in Austria. I have further developed my language skills when working for Aheadmedia, an international publishing house, and also by various translations; for example an immigrant booklet for the Council of Devon. After 5 years of studying and working in Vienna, Austria, I decided to do my postgraduate degree in European Business at the Royal Holloway University of London, in order to further develop my skills and improve my English. I will graduate in September 2009.

Teaching Experience:

I gave lessons in German and English to students in Slovakia. In Vienna, I had a German student who wanted to learn Slovak language.

Teaching Approach:

My lessons always include grammar exercises, reading, listening, speaking and sometimes writing. I adjust the activities to the particular needs of my students. However, I always make sure that the lesson includes something entertaining such as a funny article or video, so that it is interesting and easy to remember.
