Information About Joanne - Attleborough teacher

Personal Description:

I am passionate about engaging with learners to allow them to reach their full potential and also to help engender a love of language. Having lived in both France and Japan and travelled extensively, I have first hand experience of how languages allow you to integrate and experience other cultures in a special way.

Teaching Experience:

I can teach French up to A Level, and have also taught Spanish, German and Japanese to lower school students. I have been Head of Department and Second in department at schools in Essex and Norfolk, achieving excellent results at GCSE and A Level. I am an examiner of IGCSE French with Pearson and have conducted GCSE and A Level French Speaking Assessments since 2006.

Teaching Approach:

I am a patient and approachable teacher, adapting my activities to meet every student’s needs and ensuring I maximise opportunity in my lessons to check in with students who are experiencing difficulty accessing tasks. I also encourage feedback from the students about their motivation to learn and also about activities or resources I have created to identify what has been helpful.
