안녕하세요! I'm a professional language teacher with a masters in Language Teaching from the University of Edinburgh. I have years of teaching experience as well as the relevant knowledge in language teaching. I am friendly and easygoing, and always find teaching fun and enjoyable.

I'm a professional Korean teacher with passions and skills. We all need to learn a language from professionals who have the relevant skills and knowledge and try their best to support the learning of students. I am sure one of them is me. Teaching Experience:

5 years of EFL teaching and 3 years of Korean teaching

Teaching Approach:

Learning from the textbook is an outdated approach to language teaching. With all technologies and research in this area, we can go beyond that. I have developed my own curriculum and contents to support the curriculum. My lessons are full of practice and interactions with support of the contents I've been developing, from simple vocab lists to video contents. This is to make the learning of my students easier and fun. I believe that teaching is not just delivering the knowledge of the language, but it is supporting all aspects of learning. Even though I previously attended an intensive Korean course and have continued studying on my own, I found myself incapable of forming a proper sentence in Korean. But since I have started lessons with Hyunjin my speaking has improved considerably and I am much more confident.
I can’t praise Hyunjin’s teaching approach enough. Most of the time sentence patterns you learn in textbooks do not reflect how people actually talk. Through conversation, drama snippets, vocabulary and grammar points Hyujin provides you a more realistic and useful approach to how Koreans talk day to day among friends, family, coworkers ect… and because her lessons are fun you learn and remember effectively.

From Asmana (5/5): I always have so much fun in Hyunjin's lessons! All the content is well prepared, and the homework is fun and supports my learning. Hyunjin tailors her lessons to my interests and needs and is very flexible, which means I learn the language I am most in need of. After some months of having lessons with Hyunjin, I realised I feel like I am not studying hard, but in fact have learnt so many useful phrases and sentence structures. She is preparing me well for my upcoming trip to Korea. I would 100% recommend studying with Hyunjin if you want an exciting, relaxed and effective way to study Korean.

I have been having lessons with my friend weekly since May and am already feeling as though I'm making good progress; Hyunjin is always very patient and supportive of my learning needs even when I feel that I am struggling (포기하지마세요!!). Hyunjin has kept the lessons interesting and current using of clips from Kdramas and Kpop, with some written work as well.
She is passionate about the subject and I look forward to our lessons every week.

From Iryna (5/5): It's been over a month since my 14 y.o. daughter started taking lessons with Hyunjin. With only 5 lessons behind her, we can already both see clear progress. My daughter is delighted about the improvement of her language skills, and keeps chattering to me in Korean long after the lesson is over. Hyuinjin is very friendly and patient, her manner of teaching is encouraging and extremely well structured. I find the use of videos from the very beginning to be a great tool to improve the pupil's listening comprehension skills, as well as confidence in language use. Very satisfied and hope to have many more lessons with Hyunjin. Highly recommended

From Hope (5/5): Ive had 4 classes with Hyunjin so far, she takes her time to explain pronunciation and provides plenty of worksheets and vocab ahead of classes that i can use in the classes.
Im learning a lot fast but she always makes sure to include things we've learnt in previous classes each week so that i dont forget anything. I look forwards to class each week
