Personal Description:

I am Inêz, I am a linguistic professional with more than 20 years' experience in teaching languages. I love to learn, teach and assist others with personal and professional development.
I am native Brazilian, and an American citizen with life changing experiences by residing in Gloucestershire, living and experiencing the British culture.

I would like to teach you Conversational Portuguese, Alevel Portuguese or English as a second language through online classes. This can be survival, conversational or advanced language.

Teaching Experience:

During the time I lived in Brazil, where I am originally from, I worked in local Elementary and High Schools prior to founding my own private ESL school educating students, some of which I remain in contact with today offering advice and support. I taught English as a second language.
I moved to USA and worked in a few schools teaching and managing staff. I finished my employment in USA as the school Academy Director (Head Teacher).

Teaching Approach:

I have been a teacher more than half of my life. It has been a way of living to teach and translate to all ages, to my family and friends and to those whom don't speak much of the English or the Portuguese language and to become an instrument of facilitation for people in order to understand communication, living situations and experiences in their lives .
At this very moment all things considered with the pandemic, I am teaching online.Although in the past I have traveled to the student's house or they were welcomed to come to mine. As I am a native brazilian, by coming to my house you also get to experience a bit of the culture yourself. Right now, I am online teaching as I said. Hopefully to soon change that. I focus on conversational portuguese , unless you are taking a GCSE or another business/school like directive. Even if you have basic or no knowledge of portuguese, withing a few classes you will be starting to speak and be able to start to express yourself in the language. Grammar is of course taught but only with the intent of you being able to construct your sentences and understand what takes it to fluently speak.
