Information About Helen - Lincoln teacher - (21 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Helen:
I am an enthusiastic francophile based in the Lincoln area with many years' experience of teaching and translating the French language. My passion is to inspire both young learners and adults to develop their communication skills in French and to enjoy using these skills on their travels or in their work.
After studying for my First Class Honour Degree in Modern Languages and European Studies, I worked in Continuing Education at the University of Nottingham where I successfully ran French courses in Family Learning for 9 years. Building on this experience, I then set up my own language tuition business in 2004 and have spent the last 8 years teaching children, young adults, business people and holidaymakers to speak, understand and write French - no matter what their starting point.
My passion is for helping people to discover the joys of the French language and using this to communicate in a country which is enormously proud of its language; a country which will appreciate you as a francophile, however rudimentary your skills at first. My approach is to replicate the process of learning your first language and to gradually build on your successes. Each person learns at their own pace and is encouraged to concentrate on the areas of life that interest them most. I offer individual lessons as well as small groups. Family lessons are a speciality. Lessons can take place at my premises, in your own home or at your workplace.

She has shown me that I already know more than I though I did and my confidence is definitely building with each lesson.
Although excited about learning French I was a little daunted, however, I now feel that thanks to Helen it is an achievable goal.
I can't wait for my next lesson, if only it had been this way in my school days :-)
