Personal Description:

Hi,
I am a fully qualified fluent Spanish teacher with a degree in Spanish and French. I have lived all over Spain and have Spanish family in the Basque country in northern Spain. I visit Spain several times a year with my family so I can keep up to date with the language and culture.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching privately for a number of years ranging from conversational Spanish right through to A’ Level Spanish. I have taught group adult learners and one-one private tuition.
I am also familiar with new GCSE 9-1 exam specification and have marked GCSE written Spanish papers.

Teaching Approach:

I try to immerse my students in the Spanish language from the very first lesson. I use lots of functional and operational Spanish throughout the lesson so that the students become accustomed to hearing Spanish all the time. I like to focus on the student’s pronunciation by using rhyming poems or repetition activities such as Trapdoor which help boost their confidence when speaking.
I also use a variety of teaching resources that make the lessons engaging and interactive for the learner. Mostly, I aim to keep the classes fun, enjoyable and a memorable experience.
