Personal Description:

¡Hola! I’m Hannah. I have a strong track record in improving students’ Spanish exam results, demonstrated by a 100% pass rate in both A-Level and GCSE Spanish. In 2024, all of my GCSE Higher Tier students achieved grades 6-9 (B-A**). I am honoured to be the Winner of an Award for ‘Spanish Tutoring Service of the Year’. As a qualified Spanish teacher with a BA (Hons) in Spanish, I specialise in teaching primary students (ages 5+), KS3 students (Years 7-9), GCSE and A-Level students, as well as adult learners. My background includes serving as an MFL KS3 Engagement Leader and MFL teacher, with experience teaching in multiple secondary schools across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, as well as a secondary school in Madrid. With over 13 years of tutoring experience, I have worked with children, students, and adults, helping them develop their Spanish language skills effectively.

Based in Buckinghamshire, a significant percentage of my clients come through word-of-mouth recommendations, with students attending a range of independent, grammar, and comprehensive schools, including Berkhamsted Boys School, Berkhamsted Girls School, Dr Challoner’s High School, Dr Challoner’s Grammar School, Claires Court School, Aylesbury Grammar School, Aylesbury High School, Chesham Grammar School, Beaconsfield High School, Haberdashers’ Schools, Wellington College, Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School, Pipers Corner School, Tring School, The Misbourne School, Great Marlow School, and Amersham School. Additionally, I work with a substantial number of students from London-based schools.

As an online education provider, my services extend beyond the local area. I cater to students of all ages across the UK and provide international homeschooling for learners worldwide. While school students make up a large proportion of my clientele, I am delighted to see growing interest in our beginner and intermediate adult learner lessons.

I offer private language lessons for primary children (ages 5+), KS3 students, GCSE students, A-Level students, and adult learners.

Teaching Approach:

I am committed to delivering high-quality instruction while inspiring my clients to appreciate the immense benefits of learning a new language. My teaching approach is modern, dynamic, and highly engaging, supported by a comprehensive collection of professional resources that have been successfully implemented in schools.

I continuously develop exclusive teaching, learning, and revision materials, all of which are available to my clients with unlimited access. These include GCSE and A-Level Spanish revision timetables, knowledge organisers, tailored Quizlet sets aligned with specific syllabuses, and bespoke lessons designed for KS3, GCSE, and A-Level Spanish curricula.

My passion for teaching is reflected in the energy and enthusiasm I bring to every lesson. I utilise interactive whiteboards and animated Spanish teaching resources, which have proven highly effective in boosting confidence, sparking interest, and enhancing vocabulary retention. For online lessons, I conduct sessions via Google Meet or Zoom.

I also recognise the importance of retaining and organising lesson materials for effective revision. To support this, I create a dedicated Google Slides presentation for each tutee, where all lesson notes, links, worksheets, and screenshots are systematically uploaded at the end of each session. If required, additional tasks, practice exercises, or homework are assigned on the final slide, accompanied by relevant notes and feedback. These presentations are shared via email, ensuring that all materials remain structured and easily accessible for both myself and the student.

I have a proven track record of enhancing students' Spanish exam performance, demonstrated by a 100% pass rate in GCSE Spanish and outstanding results among my Higher Tier students, with all achieving grades 6-9 (B-A*) in 2024. I am proud to be the recipient of the 2025/2026 South East England Prestige Award for 'Spanish Tutoring Service of the Year'.

I build strong rapport with clients of all ages, specialising in Spanish instruction for primary students, KS3 (Years 7-9), GCSE, A-Level, and beginner/intermediate adult learners. With extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum in England and expertise in the format and requirements of secondary school examinations, I am particularly well-versed in the AQA and Edexcel syllabi, while providing comprehensive exam preparation for all GCSE and A-Level exam boards.

As a native English speaker who began my own language-learning journey at school, I possess a deep understanding of the challenges associated with acquiring a foreign language. This enables me to offer valuable insights and tailored support at every stage of a student’s path to fluency. I quickly identify each tutee’s strengths and areas for development, ensuring targeted instruction that builds confidence from the very first lesson.

I take great pride in the overwhelmingly positive feedback from my clients, reflected in numerous 5-star testimonials. While I do not guarantee grades, I am pleased to share that my students consistently exceed their Expected Predicted Grades (EPGs), with a high percentage achieving Grade 7+ in their GCSE Spanish exams.
