Personal Description:

I am of Italian parentage and as such spoken Italian in the family home from a very early age. When I was 16 years old the family moved to Milan where I attended college for two years. Since returning to the UK I have been employed by Derbyshire Police and until recently translated for the Police at Police Stations and also attended Magistrates' and Crown Court providing translation facilities

Teaching Experience:

Since 2006 I have been teaching both Beginners and Intermediate Level Italian to adults at various Adult Education Centres, both at Derby and more recently since 2009 at Matlock. I also provide private tuition and currently have three learners who attend my home for lessons.

Teaching Approach:

I feel that with the knowledge and skills I have in the Italian language I am able to provide a positive approach to teaching. I thoroughly enjoy teaching in classroom situations and feel that learners engage very well. I like to say that my teaching is relaxed and most importantly, enjoyable. I do follow the BBC Talk Italian courses but should any learner is interested in learning anything outside this arena, then I am happy to oblige.
