Hi everyone and thank you for checking out my profile. I was born in Spain but have a multicultural background (Persian father and German-Spanish mother) and therefore I speak several languages besides Spanish such as German, Persian, English, Catalán and Portuguese but I consider Spanish my mother tongue. I lived in Spain until 2016 and I studied Business Management in Castellón (at the Universidad Jaime I) and later on worked in Media Production for several years. Here in the UK I work as a digital marketeer in an educational company. I have always enjoyed teaching and training others. So if you are looking for a native tutor, don´t hesitate to contact me.
I started teaching when I was 18. After finishing high-school I went to Colombia where I spent three months as a volunteer for the Ruhi Institute in Puerto Tejada as a teacher for social projects. It was truly one of the best experiences of my life.
Later, as a member of the Bahá'í community I also offered myself as a teacher for summer camps in Spain.
The rest of my teaching experience is more related to professional training in fields such as sales, marketing and online marketing.
I believe that as said by Montaigne: "children are not a bottle you have to fill but a fire you have to lid". Regardless of the age, the key to me is motivation. So first I focus on knowing what is the motivation for learning a subject or language in order to find the best approach. It is also important to start within the comfort zone and build from there trying to master each step of the learning process. When it comes to language, I try to relay as less as possible in the translation process and more in learning as if it were a mother tongue.
