Personal Description:

I am a native French speaker and have been in UK for almost 9 years now. In France, after solid Classics studies (French, Latin and ancient Greek), I had been a proof reader and writer for fifteen years and I love explaining the nuances of the French language to anyone wants to understand how it works. I am passionate about French and the language learning process.

Teaching Experience:

- I have been a private tutor for almost 8 years now, teaching children (all KS), Uni students, and adults, in 1:1 lessons or small group sessions.
- For many years, I have assisted a lot of different people to improve their written French. I have been an assistant teacher in correcting exam papers.

Teaching Approach:

During the lessons I try to have the student practice these 3 : listening/understanding, speaking, analyzing the language. I tailor my lessons to the student’s needs and ways of learning : from pure grammar lessons to conversational sessions. No grammar if you don't want any, only tips of language as we practice communication skills. I try to speak as much as possible in the target language.

NOTA : I offer online lessons as well as in person lessons.

I am passionate about community, as I believe it is the ideal context to learn a language. For that reason, I started a "Café français" here in Stafford : a private group offering a bit of France for a couple of hours, twice a week in a chosen venue, where we have a coffee while speaking French only. One gathering is including natives, the other one is designed for beginners and intermediate learners. All events of the "Café français" are opened to my students.
