Personal Description:

I am a Greek native speaker coming originally from the beautiful island of Crete. I have been living in England for the last 18 years and I have been teaching privately for the last 10 years. I hold a PhD in Art and Communication and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education. These qualifications provided me with a very good command of the English Language. I am very capable of playing between Greek and English and can help English speakers have a wonderful experience of my native language.
I welcome all to explore the magic of Greek language and discover a huge variety of English words that come from a Greek root.

From Mary-Carmen (5/5): I have spent more than a year having one hour weekly remote tutoring from Eva. I was not a complete beginner but my path until then had been a mixture of going to classes and trying it on my own, and I was rather stuck. Eva was excellent at unstucking me. She systematically took me -gently- through what I thought I knew and what I definitely did not know. We covered all aspects of grammar and engaged in conversations about our interests and daily pursues, while trying to use as much of the vocabulary and grammar that I could remember.
Eva is not only a systematic teacher, but also very pleasant and an interesting person to talk to. I fully recommend her if you are trying to keep some order in your learning.
