Emma is an inspiring and cheerful tutor with many years experience of teaching English to many happy and successful students!
Emma can successfully assist you in improving your English skills in speaking, listening, grammar, reading and writing and she adapts all courses of learning to your individual goals and aspirations.
Emma has lived and worked in UK, Spain and Asia. She loves languages, speaks Spanish and has an active interest and knowledge of other languages too.

Teaching Experience:

Emma is a fully qualified teacher with both PGCE (2004) and TEFL (2009) who has extensive experience of teaching English in International Schools alongside tutoring individuals.
She prepares students for Cambridge exams with successful results (including B1 Preliminary, B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency and IELTS) and has plenty of experience preparing students with other relevant exam boards too.
She also teaches Business English and adapt lessons for your individual career goals and can prepare you for all relevant business exams as well as offering conversation classes too.
Emma has also taught Music for many years.

Teaching Approach:

Emma’s methods are student-centred. All lessons are adapted to suit individual needs. The courses of learning are creative, interesting enjoyable and will assist you to achieve your personal aspirations.

From Szandra (5/5): Emma is a wonderful teacher! She creates a lovely atmosphere at class where piano playing becomes fun, creative and rewarding. I really loved that Emma always took my personality and my current interest into consoderation when she chose a music piece for me and taught me music theory while playing so it was not boring or heavy going! I would always recommend Emma to everyone, you will love your piano classes with her.

From Kate (5/5): Emma has been brilliant. She's really tailored the classes to what I've wanted and needed (as an adult going back to music lessons) and they've been great fun. If I just wanted to play some duets, she's been happy to do so and has set me interesting exercises and pieces to practise. Unfortunately, life has got in the way just now and I haven't played for a few months, but when I pick the flute up again, I'll be in touch with Emma to continue my lessons.

In no time, Emma had taken our daughter's very basic note-bashing ability to a point where they were playing duets together. We always looked forward to Emma coming (or appearing on-line during lockdown) and we were very sorry when Emma had to leave the district and we had to find another flute teacher. It was a real pleasure to have Emma as our daughter's tutor and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a flute teacher with lots of patience and an ability to really motivate a child.
