Personal Description:
I am an experienced and enthusiastic language teacher. I am a native speaker of French and am fluent in German. I have always loved languages and enjoy sharing them with others.
Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified and experienced secondary languages teacher and tutor. I have worked in multiple school settings, from large academy to small girls’ grammar school, and have tutored French and German from primary to adult levels with great success and have a proven track record.
Teaching Approach:
My first session involves an informal assessment of current abilities as well as a discussion around the aim of the tutoring sessions. I then design a curriculum for the sessions tailored to the tutee’s current needs and knowledge. I like to focus on communication and include all four language skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) in my teaching. I teach grammar throughout all topics and skills; and periodically assess progress and review the planned curriculum. I am flexible and happy to adapt plans to include favourite topics or specific objectives.
