Information About Emilie - Northwood teacher

Personal Description:

I am a native French speaker who arrived in the UK in 2007 and liked it so much I never left! I now have a great job in a lovely school, and I am a mum to three boys

Teaching Experience:

I have been fully qualified since 2010, and have had experience teaching in all girls, all boys and mixed secondary schools, from year 7 to A level, and more recently had the opportunity to teach primary school children from year 3 to year 6. I am currently a Head of year 7.

Teaching Approach:

I tailor my teaching to the students' strengths and areas for development, ensuring we have set a precise goal and determined the outcome desired: exam techniques and success, conversational French for travelling, etc.
I have an excellent knowledge of the current GCSE requirements and base my teaching on a wide variety of activities which will appeal to different types of learners while covering the four skills necessary. As a French native who had to learn English as a foreign language, I have a good understanding of the grammar connections between our languages and the ways to teach them.
