Personal Description:

My name is Liz and I am a languages teacher from Manchester. I graduated in 2009 with a first-class honours degree in French and Spanish from the University of Bristol. Since then I have taught Spanish, French and English to young people in Spain and the UK in a variety of schools and academies. I completed my PGCE in July 2020 at the Univesity of Manchester, where I completed my trainee teacher practice at Manchester High School for Girls and Buile Hill School, Salford. I'm experienced in tutoring and teaching French and Spanish up to A Level. I teach online using Skype Meet, Google Meet or Zoom.

Teaching Experience:

I am experienced in teaching and tutoring primary, secondary and GCSE and A Level French and Spanish. I have two years' experience tutoring languages online using a variety of online platforms.

Teaching Approach:

I'm friendly, patient and love making language-learning fun by bringing energy, enthusiasm and pace to the classroom! For me, it's important to make sure my students feel really comfortable in class and understand that mistakes are a natural and healthy part of the learning process.
When teaching I try to use as much of the target language as possible to help students' fluency and confidence. I also like to incorporate authentic and topical materials, and make connections with students' personal interests wherever possible.
I have a sound understanding of UK GCSE/A Level exams and marking criteria and can offer exam preparation classes.
