Personal Description:
I am a passionate and accomplished teaching professional with a strong background in language education, European project management, and public relations within the educational sector. With over 30 years of experience, I deliver engaging, culturally rich lessons tailored to your personal or professional goals.
I hold a Master's degree in Modern Languages and Literature, as well as postgraduate studies in Education Sciences. I also have a Diplôme Supérieur de Langue et Littérature Française from Alliance Française, which demonstrates advanced proficiency in the French language and literature.
My lessons are shaped by an artistic background and additional training in Art Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, allowing me to create inspiring and supportive learning environments that go beyond textbook learning.
Whether you're studying for GCSEs, A-levels, advancing your career, preparing for relocation abroad, or simply learning a new language for enjoyment, I tailor each session to suit your pace, interests, and learning style.
With a focus on confidence, communication, and cultural insight, I help learners of all levels achieve lasting progress.
Teaching Experience:
As an educator with over 30 years of experience in language and humanities education, I have taught across a broad range of settings in the UK and internationally, including both public and private institutions. My approach is shaped by years of developing versatile, student-centred methodologies that adapt to different learning contexts and individual needs.
I have worked extensively with students across all age groups and academic levels, delivering instruction in Modern Foreign Languages (Portuguese, French, and Spanish) and English Language and Literature, as well as GCSE and A-level courses in Sociology and Psychology. My roles have included serving as a GCSE Speaking Examiner for several London schools, where students regularly achieve outstanding exam results, thanks to my targeted and strategic preparation methods.
In recent years, I have collaborated with professionals at Bromley Council’s SEN department and the NHS, further strengthening my ability to deliver inclusive and supportive learning experiences.
I offer:
Teaching Approach:
I inspire students to engage and collaborate in their educational journey actively. My goal is to deliver exceptional instruction in a warm and welcoming environment that fosters confidence and ignites motivation.
In my language and literature classes, I prioritise developing students' oral fluency and listening comprehension while strengthening their confidence in reading and analysing compelling topics. Grammar instruction is seamlessly integrated into thematic units, explained contextually, and reinforced through engaging activities. Cultural elements are woven throughout every lesson as an essential component of language learning.
I carefully tailor my teaching approach to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles, ensuring each student receives personalised attention. This customised approach fosters open communication between teacher and student while allowing for ongoing practical assessment throughout the course. Central to my methodology is a genuine passion for my subject matter. I derive deep satisfaction from teaching and motivating students to enhance their skills and realise their full potential with confidence.
