I want to introduce myself as an experienced and enthusiastic, native tutor born in Madrid, Spain. I am bilingual in Spanish and English and I offer Spanish tuition from beginning to advanced and undergraduate levels as well as conversation practice.
I have over 20 years of experience working in education privately as well as for a local school, a local college and a tutor's agency in Cornwall.
My Spanish sessions are tailor made according to the requirements and level of each pupil and are given within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The aim is to learn how to understand and communicate through enjoyment and positive motivation as well as through applying language learning techniques. The tutorials are one-to-one and, to make the most of them, I recommend 2-hour sessions although shorter sessions could be arranged according to the requirements of the student.

The lessons are being tailored to improve my weak points and offer the support I need to get my confidence back especially when speaking. I also value having a native speaker as a Tutor as this helps with the accent and pronunciation.
The on-line aspect of the lessons was a little daunting at first, but with Dori's help I am gradually
getting to grips with Skype!
I'm enjoying the challenge of the weekly exercises as these are testing the grey matter which is no bad thing and I've starting reading books in Spanish again slowly but surely so its all very positive.
I've always enjoyed learning languages so hope that in time I will regain the skills that I have lost through the lack of practice.
Would recommend Dori for sure.
and I can recognise the importance of grammar as a building block . I value your encouragement and sense of humour and feel changing to an hour’s lesson will be a better way forward… thank you .Deirdre
