Personal Description:

My name is Crystal , founder of **Removed By Admin** and **Removed By Admin**. I am a linguist with a genuine interest in history and the usage of language. I have a passion for imparting the beauty and intricacy of the Chinese language and a flair for enthusing my students with my innovative method. I am approved by the Chinese Government to teach Chinese language internationally. I also specialise in cross-cultural awareness between China and Britain, in a business setting. I have provided **Contact Detail Removed** services to the Scottish Government and local companies both large and small in Chinese business culture and etiquette.

Teaching Experience:

I mainly teach native English speaker adults from beginner level. My students vary from bank senior executives, business people, lecturers to young professionals. I also teach children Mandarin at early age such as age 2 or 3 onwards. As this the critical age to learn any foreign language.

In addition I am passionate about training Mandarin teachers to enhance their teaching skills.

Teaching Approach:

Unlike the traditional approach, focusing only on listening and speaking, shying away from reading and writing characters, my holistic system of teaching Mandarin is a carefully designed balance of all these aspects. The sooner you are exposed to the Chinese characters, the easier it is when the time comes to reading and writing, as you will have gradually become familiar with the characters from the outset and had time to assimilate them. Do you not find it’s easier to remember somebody once you put his/her name and face together? This innovative methodology makes Chinese easy to learn and easy to remember.

My approach is unique in that I don’t just teach a language I teach the language within a historical, cultural and business context. There are no generic formulas or set recipes to follow, but innovative methods, tailored to individual learners, which engage learners by incorporating storytelling and games into my learning materials. I believe in creating a relaxing, informal environment, which facilitates learning, where students can progress at their own pace.
