Personal Description:

Ι am a Greek teacher with over 7 years of tutoring in Greek and English. I studied Philosophy, pedagogy and pcychology at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. I just graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire studying MA acting. My multicultural backround has made me multilingual from a very young age and an enthousiastic person who loves meeting people and spreading knowlodge around the world!

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 7 years of experience in one on one classes in greek and english language. I have also worked as a substitute teacher for a year.

Teaching Approach:

I normally use a combination of grammar-translation approach and a direct approach. With the first one I utilise the students' native language to teach the target language. I provide plenty of written examples where grammar rules are observed. With direct approach the emphasis is on the spoken language and the development of oral skills. Activities like pantomiming, word-picture association, question-answer patterns, dialogues and role playing give the students the chance to figure out the rules for themselves.
