Personal Description:

I am originally from Manchester,UK and I have been teaching English, in a range of contexts, for 10 years. In this time I have had the pleasure of meeting and teaching students from all over the world, both online and in person.
I love my job, as I enjoy meeting new people and helping my students achieve their language learning goals.

I am approachable and confident in teaching any area of English language, whether it be for exam preparation (IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE), English for Academic Purposes, or for General English and speaking fluency, each class can be tailored to your individual needs.

Teaching Experience:

After completing my degree in Media and Performance (University of Salford) I went to Vietnam to complete the Cambridge Celta (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages).

Since then, I have lived and worked in Vietnam, The UK, Spain and Italy teaching both adult and young learners.
More recently I have been studying for the Cambridge Delta (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and for the past three years I have been working for the University of Manchester teaching academic English on the pre-sessional summer program.

My experience includes:

• Proficient in teaching full range of CEFR levels (A1-C2)
• Qualified IELTS speaking examiner

• Cambridge Celta qualified (Delta in progress)

Teaching Approach:

Meeting for an informal chat is the best way for us to introduce ourselves, for you to ask me any questions and to tell me about your language learning goals. From there I will be able to plan a course of study for you and decide how best to help you reach those goals.

I believe that the best way to learn is by doing, so in my classes you will do most of the work, whilst I will be there to facilitate your learning, offer guidance and provide materials which support your aims.

I am approachable, friendly and completely empathise with the difficulties faced when learning a language.
My primary aim is to help you gain confidence and make progress in whichever area interests you.
