Personal Description:
I am Charlotte, a French and Spanish teacher from the UK. I have lived in both France and Spain and so I know what it is like to learn a new language and I have made so many mistakes along the way. I am open and friendly and my tutees and pupils at school have told me that they feel safe to make mistakes with me. Aside from teaching, I love singing, rock climbing, yoga, painting and playing the ukulele.
Teaching Experience:
I have five years experience in Secondary schools teaching KS3 - A Level French and up to KS4 Spanish. I have a lot of experience marking students writing, reading and listening papers as well as conducting GCSE Speaking exams. I also really enjoy the 1 to 1 side of tutoring and have been doing it for 15 years.
Teaching Approach:
My main aim as a tutor is to give confidence to my tutees and I welcome mistakes as they are part of the learning journey. I am also very organised and make sure we have a plan and a direction that we are going on. We will often look back at where we said we wanted to go and see if we are there/need to do a bit more work.
