Personal Description:
Hello! I am Charlotte! I am a fully qualified efl teacher and a passionate linguist! I am a friendly, open person who has traveled extensively and, through teaching, I have met some incredible people who have gone on to do amazing things! I have an up to date DBS (CRB) certificate and currently have slots available for new pupils!
Teaching Experience:
I am currently studying modern languages at university as well as teaching - in addition to this I have taught to a multitude of students around Europe ranging from complete beginners up towards advanced students, I am familiar with both the Cambridge and IELTS exams and have taught to both of these exam structures. I have completed a full time Cambridge certified English teaching Qualification (CELTA) and have years of experience teaching both one to one and classroom lessons.
Teaching Approach:
My approach to tutoring is relatively relaxed, I work at the pace of the learner and work to their needs and how they wish to proceed with their Language learning. Conversational language and contextualising new grammar and structures for learners is something that I am passionate about to help them to immediately use new language and apply it to everyday life. I also try to make my lessons enjoyable for my students because I believe that people learn more when they are enjoying their lessons!
I conduct most of my lessons online at the moment as I am away at university but my timetable and schedule are flexible and I am able to work around pupil availability!

CharlotteFrom Harry (5/5): Charlotte is an excellent tutor and tailors her teaching to exactly what is required. She is always cheerful and engaging and uses visualisation techniques, which really helps to remember and understand different aspects of the French language. Highly recommended.

Charlotte first took time to find out exactly what kind of support my daughter needs and has then tailored the tutoring accordingly (she is focusing on ensuring that my daughter has a strong grasp of grammar). I always ask my daughter what she has covered and I can tell that she is learning well. Charlotte also gives tips of what my daughter can do in-between to build her language skills in general. We are really pleased to have her as a tutor.

From Andre (/5): Charlotte is an excellent and extremely supportive language tutor. I needed someone immediately and at short notice. She made herself available and was very flexible. The classes were instructive, fun and relaxed. I thoroughly recommend her, without any reservation.
From Daniel (/5): A great teacher, Charlotte has put together a short programme to teach us the most important things we need to learn, all tailored to us and our trip and crammed into the short time we have available before we leave, and with just the right amount for us to work on in-between. She has also been flexible when we have needed to change lessons.

From Erik (/5): Charlotte is an excellent tutor and I'm very happy that I chose her to teach me and help me practice. She is very patient and very encouraging to push you further. And her way of communicating is very well aligned in just enough of a balance on both sides, for you to listen and improve comprehension, with a lot of your own input and giving you the space to practice. She also picks up on the things that interest you and she always inquires about them to explore the things that are important to you and discuss them in more detail, letting you have a pleasant conversation, same as improve vocabulary and ways of expressing your passions in a clearer and smoother way!

From Frank (/5): Although I've only had a few lessons with Charlotte, they have been really great, and I've really felt like I've learned a lot with her. The learning environment she creates is perfect, and I feel totally at ease when I make a mistake or mispronunciation. It feels like chatting and laughing with a friend as we go through the basics and it really helps me to relax and just learn.
