Personal Description:

English is my native language, but I am also fluent in French as a result of living in the South West of France for 4 years and attending a local French school, where I studied for my 'brevet'.

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2019, with a 2:1 in International Business Management.
I have recently completed exams for the Graduate Diploma in Law as I am a future trainee after securing a position at a commercial law firm during a vacation scheme.

Teaching Experience:

I supported a 13 year old in her preparations for her GCSE maths exam as unfortunately owing to certain circumstances and her ability, she was unable to keep up with the curriculum. I aided her on a one-to-one basis, and enjoyed this experience as although challenging, it was very rewarding.

Teaching Approach:

My experience tutoring maths involved developing a number of ways of explaining and presenting any one concept in order to match what best suited the student and her approach to learning. In my experience, one size does most certainly not fit all, so although 2 individuals may have similar abilities, their approach to learning may differ greatly; what works for one person may not work for another.

My preferred method of teaching languages predominantly involves discussions of topics chosen by you, in order to tailor your learning if you have a particular area you would like to develop in. Even if there is not one particular goal of your language lessons, I like to find out your interests and hobbies so as to adapt to these and make our sessions more interesting and engaging for you.
However I also appreciate that some people may have more flexible/open goals, and therefore vocabulary and grammar exercises may also be incorporated in our sessions, providing greater structure if desired.
