Information About Carina - Cobham teacher

Personal Description:

I'm Carina, a recent Masters graduate with an MSc in Oceanography from the University of Southampton. I am passionate about learning languages and using my personal experience with the process, I want to help others learn my native language, English. I speak German fluently, so I would be well-suited to a German speaker who may struggle to understand a full lesson given completely in English. I also have some experience with Spanish, French and Dutch.

Teaching Experience:

I have completed a 120-hour Premier TEFL Course online (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and have been teaching English online for almost a year. I have taught beginners and advanced students, and have taught native German speakers, using German when required. I have taught adults and children, the youngest learner being 10.

Teaching Approach:

I like to take a relaxed, personalised approach, tailored to the students' specific needs. We will identify the goal of the student, and work out the best way to achieve it, paying particular attention to any areas that need extra work. I attempt to make the lessons fun, taking into account the student's personal interests to make the content engaging and memorable.
