Bryan
French Teacher and Musician
Since retiring I have become a freelance teacher of French and several musical instruments. I have taught French in Junior schools, to students of all levels, adults in their homes and place of work. I also teach French in industry.
I regularly teach guitar, ukulele and violin, and have also taught keyboard and recorder

Teaching Experience:

30 years in the classroom in 11-18 schools GCSE and A level teaching.
Since retirement at 55 I have taught from 5 year olds to degree students mostly on a one-to-one basis. Much of my work has been for GCSE, A level and adult beginners.

Teaching Approach:

I aim to look at the individual, assess their capabilities and adapt materials according to their abilities and needs.
I aim to get them speaking quickly, insisting on perfect pronunciation, and develop listening skills with the use of recordings and DVDs of teaching materials and topical materials.

From Charlotte (3/5): Bryan is possibly A great tutor but only having him once I could not gage If he was or was not. He seemed A Nice chap when he was here. Before meeting Byran we exchanged emails he Said he was willing To travel so I paid for the details transfer and after the First lesson he asked If I could pay his petrol money and the tutor fee for the next lesson or I could not have A second lesson as it was too much for him. I did not like the fact he had not mentioned it Before and I åm guilted I made the transfer fee. I åm willing To give him the benifit OF the dout that he thought he was justified asking for this even though it had not put it in previous emails.In my opinion he should have mentioned it sooner and maybe the site should ask how far they are willing To travel Before petrol cost. With the positive feed back he had recieved Before maybe I åm A One off but I would not recommend him To anyone that lived far away from him. On the site it mentions he Lives 21miles from me and It is A straight run on the motor way as i live in wigston. My boyfriend was not in at the time as he was instructing A mma Class but adviced ME To write honest feedback. I do wish him well in future ventures and hope he gets more work but i would discuse petrol fees with him Before exchanging details.
