Personal Description:

My name is Belén and I am from Madrid. I have been living in the UK for the last four years and in Bristol for the last 6 months. I am a native Spanish speaker and an experienced language tutor. I am also qualified with a certificate for Spanish teaching.

Wether you want to learn Spanish for work, for travel or just for fun, I can help you. I can prepare lessons tailored to your needs (writing, reading, listening and conversation), including exam preparation. I can teach all levels and all ages. Prices аnd hоurs fоr the lessоns аre negоtiаble.

Teaching Experience:

I have several years of experience as Spanish teacher, teaching adults, teenagers and children, in the UK, Ireland, Canada and Spain.

Teaching Approach:

I believe that as a tutor I have to adapt to the student needs and wishes, and it is important to work towards a goal. I like to make classes dynamic and participative. I also believe that students should dedicate time to study on their own and the classes should be a complement to that; this is the best way to progress and make improvements.

From Robert (5/5): Belen, is an excellent teacher, she will assess what your level is and then set up a programme specific to you. We had a few sessions each week which were structured and fun. Belen you give you a tense/subject to work on and the this will be discussed the following session. Also if you want to review certrain areas she will go over these with you. It will all be done and your pace.

From Neneh (4/5): I had to leave lessons for personal reasons. Marias teaching style was fine and she is a nice person. Sometimes the lessons seemed a little unorganised. could have been slightly better planned to make it smoother but this is based on only 2 lessons.

From Ingrid (5/5): Belén is great! I have had 4 classes with her via Skype and am thoroughly enjoying the challenge of learning Spanish. Belén is organised and able to accomodate my work schedule which makes booking classes with her easy. She provides helpful notes and is very patient with my slow and poorly pronounced Spanish. She makes me feel comfortable enough to keep trying. Classes move quickly but are relaxed. I highly recommend Belén as a tutor for anyone who's keen to give Spanish a go.

Very patient and explained everything clearly, she also set us work for the coming week which really made a difference. Unfortunately we couldn't continue with the lessons but if we decide to start learning again we will be sure to contact Belen.
