Information About Anthony - Cottingham teacher

Personal Description:

I am a mature mother tongue English as a Second Language Tutor, and I have been living and working in Italy for the past 9 years. I was also occupied as an animal carer in a joint venture with my wife. In August 2015, I returned to my home city of Kingston upon Hull

Teaching Experience:

Prior to moving to Italy I was an IT tutor at East Hull City Learning Centre teaching a diversity of IT skills including; OCR, ECDL, Web Design & Computerised Accounts. While living in Italy I taught English as a foreign language for a recognised national language school, taking students from 6 to 65 years old in class sizes ranging from 4 – 12 students. I also took a term at an Italian military air force base teaching military personnel from all ranks. My main bulk of students has been from private tuition with French, Spanish, Croatian and Italian students on 1-1 to a 1-3 basis studying for Trinity, PET, FCE, CAE & IELTS qualifications.

Teaching Approach:

I believe my approach to teaching is first and foremost one of fun followed with dedication, understanding and commitment. I take personal interests and turn them into learning activities where possible, making the experience more personal and enjoyable for the student/s. I also believe that my success as an ESL tutor is down to my likeability as a tutor.
