Information About Anna - Hockley teacher

Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Anna! I am a Psychology and Business Psychology graduate from City University in London. I graduated high school in Greece (Crete), specifically my chosen A level subject were; Latin, Ancient Greek, Modern Greek, History and Biology. I have always been fascinated about languages, their structure and complexity! I have been teaching Greek for 5 years. I have taught groups in a Greek Community Centre. The age groups varied from 5 - 60 years old, and the level from beginner to GCSE.

Teaching Experience:

As mentioned above, I started my career teaching at a Greek Community centre. Students ranged from 5- 60 years old and were allocated to different groups depending on their level. I have taught Greek at different levels to people from all over the world. In the last 2 years I have been teaching students on a 1:1 level prepping them for their GSCEs. My students completed their exams and achieved a grade 9 and 8!

Teaching Approach:

I teach Greek through conversation and deconstruction of the complex Greek grammar! Exploring the language and the Greek culture at the same time is great way for student to get immersed and engaged in the language and therefore learn faster.
