Personal Description:

I am a 44 year old French woman, mother of 2 lovely boys - both being raised bilingually (French and English). I have been in Derby for 20 years now and have been in the UK since 1999.

Teaching Experience:

I am a 21 years qualified secondary teacher, Head of French at an independent school. I have taught throughout the age range at secondary level and also at primary. I also have experience of individual tuition and can offer KS3, GCSE, A-level, university revision and examination preparation. I have also worked with adults wishing to improve their conversation skills.

Teaching Approach:

My approach to teaching throughout my career has always been inclusive. I firmly believe that everyone can make progress and have success in language learning. Lessons/ tuition sessions are personalised to the individual needs of the learner and will push learners to achieve their potential and enjoy learning French, no matter what the level.

From Emma (5/5): Angélique has worked online teaching my daughter. I felt it wouldn't work but it really has! She has proved to me that online 1:1 teaching can work.

After only a month of sessions my daughter has made significant levels of improvement in class tests and now enjoys French. She has even been speaking in French even over Christmas!

Angélique has enthused my daughter and given her confidence in her true ability. My daughter is sitting her GCSE exams next year and I will be sticking with Angélique throughout. Thank you for everything.

From Josef (5/5): Angelique worked with my daughter (15) and was able in 24 lessons (24 hours) to go through a years school curriculum and motivated my daughter. My daughter came to Angelique and reached only 30 points (100 max points) what was required from her school, after we finished the one to one lessons, my daughter achieved nearly 90 points of the school requirements, she needed 52 points to get from negative to positive. After the school holidays my daughter has a review in french and needed to be positive to progress in her overseas school.
Every single lesson was professional prepared to the needs of my daughter and Angelique did the extra mile to help my daughter and motivated her to learn the language french in writing, listening and speaking.
I can recommend Angelique and thank her for teaching in a calm environment…
