Personal Description:

I am a freelance tutor living in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. I am Tefl qualified with a Diploma in Languages… I live here with my husband and three young sons. I love walking, hiking, cycling, reading and being with my boys. I

Teaching Experience:

I have taught English as a foreign language here in England and Italy, Lake Como. (2012 -2014). I have taught for a number of years (15) though interspersed with having a young family. I have taught young learners on short courses both with the objective to improve spoken English and to pass exams (lake Como) . I have taught beginner level through to Advanced level, principally general English During my time in Lake Como I worked as a freelance teacher to adults and young learners as well as some teaching in schools. I teach individuall and groups but now hoping to diversify to teach online as well as face to face. I have taught short courses to young learners, (Grittleton short stay courses and Bournemouth) I taught Italian to key stage 2 children at a special needs independent school in Colerne. More recently, over the last couple of years I have been teaching Spanish and Italian to a young GCSE student to improve her knowledge and Italian to adult learners.

Teaching Approach:

Lessons are planned and structured to meet the needs of each individuals, using a range of resources; Headway, cutting edge, business English, newspaper reports, music and recordings. Lessons are communicative but will also incorporate listening and writing skills. Objectives will be set, homework and feedback as required. Lessons are professional but informal and enjoyable.
